There is a break for lunch until the activities restart at 12:30pm with an hour of bingo, followed by 1.5 hour session of arts and crafts where you can make cards, practice cross stitching, paint with watercolours or bring your own knitting. Afterwards you can relax and have a chat at the afternoon tea. Click here to find out more about the afternoon activities. Drop in for as many activities as you like!
From early February the current Golf Links Estate Community Centre will be closed down and activities will be moved to a temporary building around the corner, but activities will remain the same.
The activities are provided by Neighbourly Care, a charity that brings together people over 65 from all backgrounds to share and celebrate their experiences, cultures and lives. They offer a wide range of services and activities to older people aimed at prolonging independent living in various locations across the borough.
All participants need to be members of Neighbourly Care Community Project.
Annual membership fee is £2. You can sign up simply by filling out a short membership form on the day. You only pay it once a year and it gives you access to all Neighbourly Care activities.
